Plan for the day: pick up from your hotel at 8 am and drive an hour + to Jerusalem. It is a full day tour starting at Mt. Olives for a short history lesson about the 3000 years of Jerusalem & an introduction to the importance of Jerusalem to the three monotheistic religions. Then a short visit to the church of Gethsemane and continue to see the city of David excavations, the Davidson archeological park with the tunnels in between, the Jewish quarter, Christian quarter and Muslim + Armenian. The room of the last supper, the Cardo, the Western wall, the church of the holy sepulcher, the Via Dolorosa and more… outside the first hour+ it's all walking above and below ground. If you are Protestant we can visit the garden tomb in addition. This itinerary is for a regular week day. Friday's with the Muslim prayers etc it becomes more complicated so we have to walk faster and sometimes we miss out on some sites due to heavy traffic (both cars and walking). Saturdays many of the sites are closed so the plan is shorter. lunch will be an authentic Middle Eastern restaurant. At the end of the day we will return to your hotel.
